Another retreat project has appeared! A friend of mine at work has had this quilt for 30+ years and has recently noticed that all of the squares of this fabric are wearing away and she has asked me to repair her quilt. It should be fairly straight forward, replace the squares and reconnect the straight furrow quilting. Now i need to find some really funky fabric so my repaired squares wont stand out as a definite repair. It may not be as dramatic as repairing a masterpiece from the 1840's but to me, its a neat challenge :-)

I love your blog mission statement: "...squeezing more minutes and smiles..." I have some feedsack fabrics that I don't really know what to do with. Let me know if you need fabric for your repair.
Take care!
I have done a little restoration. If possible I would leave the old and just sew the new piece over top of it.
