New Arrival!

This little darling entered my life on Saturday. Isn't she cute? I called the kids on the way home to tell them we were bringing their new little sister home....they thought I meant we got another dog!
I took my old workhorse Singer Scholastic to be serviced and an occasional wild stitch problem fixed and found that it would cost over half of what I paid for it 5 years ago. It seems I wore it out. My husband said, "These are what they put in schools for Eighth graders to beat the hell out of, and you WORE IT OUT!!!" :-) I was looking at the Babylocks and Pfaffs the place sells...drooling. When I found this little sweetie, she was a floor model which saved me $500 so I bought the quilt package along with it so I could have the table and extra feet. There are so many different stitches! I am definitely feeling inspired now and glad I am taking a spur of the moment vacation next week so we can spend some quality time together.
How she purrs! I am in love.

Ooooh the new machine looks really neat. I have a nice old machine from the eighties that's helped me create and learn how to make lots of things - I am grateful for it, but boy am I ready for an upgrade!!! :)

Thanks for your comment Mary - I sure do love my little grump! :) I've yet to post about it, but I soon discovered why my sewing machine was such a bargain - the gear that moves the bobbin shuttle is broken! *Roar* But it's ok, because I'm trading it and my current sewing machine in to a local dealer for that upgrade I so badly wanted! Hehehe - one that was even made in this decade! Hopefully next week I'll be the proud owner of a Simplicity Quilter Classic - yay! :)

Ooohhhh -- you're gonna have fun with that baby! My first "real" machine was a Pfaff, and they are nice! They have such a nice straight stitch, and the dual feed is so much nicer than a walking foot -- Enjoy!
