Not about me Monday 8/21 was cancelled

due to circumstances out of my control, a schedule change at work. But in order to redeem myself I did substitute today as Not About Me Friday. And I popped this little quilt top together, using the spirals from a few weeks ago.

Weird times

Working too much, enjoying life too little, that seems to be the motto of my life lately. Due to some personnel changes at work I have been working more than 50 hours a week, and no where near my normal schedule. We are not sure what's going to happen with Q, still in limbo. I havent been able to sleep much lately, no more than three or four hours. Summer is about to end and I have yet to begin to enjoy it. Weird times.

Listening to Steven Stills Love the One You're With











Another charity packet from Carol E. at Sunshine. The packet contained the yellow, red and green. I had the 30's print in my stash and it all matched perfectly.

I wanted a fun but easy and quick block, so I chose Houndstooth from Quilterscache.com I actually pieced it rather than using the paperpiecing directions, I cut rectangles 3½x4", measured in 1¼" in from the ends along the long sides on the opposite ends and cut a diagonal line between them.

Another bump in the road

Another incident with Q has happened. Its a big one, and I really cannot go into it here. Are these mini depressions that I go through when I do only what's required to survive? No initiative to quilt or even spend time on the computer....just doing what it takes to get through the day.....
